Collin grew up mostly between the Bay Area and Reno-Tahoe area before settling in Portland. He began tattooing professionally in 2010, when he was introduced to John Eddy, grandson of tattoo legend CJ “Pop” Eddy, by Rio DeGennaro, son of Lou Lewis. Specializing in American traditional, Japanese, and script, Collin now owns and operates Family Tradition, the shop where he first started tattooing. What originally began as a private studio with Smivee to navigate the pandemic was rebranded as Family Tradition in 2023 after Collin took full control following Smivee’s retirement.
